Twenty five years a florist, skills honed through on the job experience. Why would you learn from someone who isn’t an experienced florist or doesn’t run a successful business as a jobbing florist? This was the main reason I began teaching workshops - seeing others with little or no relevant experience, I knew I could offer so much more.
Spending time with fellow florists as I do, I listen and understand their concerns because we are essentially one and the same. Over the years I’ve welcomed florists some who’ve travelled from quite literally all over the world into my studio; many return to build up their repertoire and skillset.
My intention is thus: to enable florists to be the best versions of themselves through sharing my knowledge and skills. In so doing I’ve the honour of watching a great many florists grow in confidence as they too go on to build successful businesses of their own.
I teach around my own wedding and events schedule, this has the invaluable bonus of always being current and relatable.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Group Workshops & Mentoring
Teaching group workshops brings together like-minded and enthusiastic florists, these days are always fun, cathartic and informative, I focus on content and valuable skills you can put straight into your practice. I teach as much from the heart as I do from my experience and I say it exactly how it is! Classes may include how to create designs without the use of floral foam, from the basic fundemental designs through to constructing large installations. I teach what I call fundamental core floristry skills such as how to ‘wire’ a flower and create teardrop or shower bouquets. How to use alternative foundations to floral foam and demonstrate building large impactful structures. I mostly teach florists but can also run workshops for flower enthusiasts too.
As a mentor I offer advice and support drawn from over twenty years of practical experience. I can shadow you as you deliver and set up your first wedding, help you plan and set up styled shoots for your website portfolio or perhaps help you with your first flower order. I talk you through profit margin projections, break down costings, offer advice on quotations, help with supply chains or help you utilise your own unique skills by offering current business support exactly when and where you need it.
“Thank you so much for the wonderful workshop today, I really enjoyed it and found it very useful and beneficial. I have done several workshops over the years and this one was by far the most informative, so thank you. I really appreciated how much you crammed into the day, and the speed you worked. All of us firing questions and requests at you, did not phase you. It was very good to meet you and I hope our paths cross again some time.” (A.R.C March 2023)
“Thank you for such a brilliant couple of courses, your passionate enthusiasm which rubbed off in spades and your willingness to share the ‘nitty gritty’, and for sparking my love of flowers further and possibly opening new doors!” L.V (March 2023)
“Thank you to you and Fiona for the workshop… The day was glorious and I left feeling like a fully absorbed sponge full of info! It was also invaluable to meet you and other florists and just have a chance to chat and exchange stories/tips/laugh - chances like these feel few and far between so thank you for holding this space for us… I have no doubt I will be in touch again and hope to attend another workshop. As well as loving your work and how you teach, you're extremely personable and down to earth, something I value highly..!” J.H (March 2023)
“My 1:1 with Linz was the best decision Imade on my journey into professional floristry. I had the passion and the basic skills, but lacked confidence in my own ability as was still very reliant on floral foam for my designs. Linz put me at ease immediately and gave creative direction and prompts without judgement or prescription. We also covered sustainable mechanics using moss and and chicken wire, giving me the confidence to go foam free! Since my 1:1 Linz has been at the end of the phone to offer support whenever I’ve had a big job lined up and need some advice. Linz has such a wealth of experience and the 1:1 really was a great investment in me and my business”. A.S July 2022
“When I took the decision to follow my love of flowers, I decided I wanted to learn from the best. Linz teaches me what I want to learn, packs content in and is one of the lovliest, most confidence inspiring people I know - passionate about her subject. When I need to know something flower related, I turn to Linz. It’s an investment in me and my work”. E.P September 2022

Christmas Wreath Workshop
Friday 27th November 2026 10am - 12.30 £110
Saturday 28th November 10am - 12.30 £110
Afternoon session 2pm - 4.30pm £110
I love making wreaths, I’ve been making them for 25 years but I also LOVE teaching how to make wreaths too - as much as making them!
Now, here’s the thing, just because you can make a wreath doesn’t mean you can really teach how to make one too and that’s why I’d love you to join my class and let me show you how. I even teach florists how to make wreaths as well as run these popular workshops. So if you’re one of my regular attendees, skip this bit and jump down to Honesty’s website link to book yourselves in without delay!
I’m flattered they’re so popular with only a finite number of spaces on each class (so that you have space and my attnetion) they canbook up super quick.
If you’d like to make your own wreath this year and fear you might not have the requisite skills, that’s where I come in because teaching is absolutely key to your success. I’ll be on hand to show you how but also be at your side when required to assist as you make your own beautiful wreath.
My ingredients are always super fresh, seasonal and plentiful. I dont have a rigid formula that everyone has to follow, I encourage everyone to follow their own style and choose from the delicious fragrant ,festive foliages and berries I will have available . I ‘m happy to help (but only if you need me)!
Beautiful ribbons and natural decorations will make your wreath stand out in your neighbourhood this Christmas.
Look forward to seeing you there!

Vase Arrangement Workshop
Friday 3rd July 2026 10 -1.30pm includes lunch £135
Have you ever untied a bouquet of flowers or picked a few blooms from your garden and been frustrated at how they always seem to fall to the side and not stay in place?
This workshop aims to show you how I create arrangements in both a vases and bowls using a kenzan (flower frog) as well as other simple techniques to hold flowers in place.
Using locally grown flowers and foliage I’ll show you how to create seasonal arrangements in various vessels using a selection of tools to hold the flowers in place before you make your own arrangement to take home including both vessel and kenzan (flower frog).
I’ll demonstarte how I scale up these techniques into much larger floral pedestal arrangements before we enjoy a light lunch together.
The workshop is open to anyone interested whether you’re arranging for pleasure or are a florist wanting to practise their skills for table centres as well as watch me an experienced event florist, create a much larger design.
There will be time to talk over lunch and the session will finish by 1.30pm
